We have worked hard to create new technology and features, helping the game feel less dated
Discord Integration
Forums have become a thing of the past. Welcome to Discord, a fantastic successor to the once popular x-fire platform which abruptly disappeared.
If you’re busy at work you don’t have to miss out on the action or trash talking.
Big Data
You hear it all the time whether it’s advertisements or government oversight hearings. This is the age of “Big Data” and we’re just getting started bringing the old game we love up to the modern world.
Global Points: Vote and Cash Shop
We store your Vote Points and your Altruism Points on a master account that we refer to as your “Altruism Account”. The Altruism Account is a master account which has your Game Accounts, Vote Points and Altruism Points underneath it. Doing it this way means that if you want, you can forward some of your Vote or Altruism Points to a friend’s account if they’re in need of it. This prevents your points from being locked up on one game account.
Disabled Stolb
Stolb mode makes the original design of parties and classes needed to level, obsolete.
We’ve decided it is destructive to the game in terms of how fast leveling can occur. On top of that we think it degrades the teamwork and communication between players.
Live In-Game Damage Logging
We’re the first and only server that we know of which logs and also displays for each player the exact damage amount dealt as a single number to which piece of equipment. As a player you can verify on your own if someone’s cheating or not and with this level of detail we can manually re-test the exact conditions to ensure everyone is on the same playing-field.

One Hour Chip War
If at first this doesn’t seem appealing, keep reading.
After gathering lots of feedback from players we realized that a 2 hour war was making it almost impossible to ever have draws. After working with the players we decided to shorten the war instead of increasing chip HP. A full length war was 2 hours and 39 minutes before if a chip died just before the time expired. This is exhausting considering all the other things you need to do in the game.
Now that we’ve been using the 1 hour war we’ve seen the most intense PvP anywhere. Players are able to give everything in their heart and soul for an hour without having to worry about it dragging out forever in stalemates. This has also changed the chip war to have 3 outcomes again instead of always a win or loss.
Rangers: Viable and Re-balanced
Since the dawn of Rising Force everyone knows that unless you happen to be lucky enough to get an over-powered weapon, your ranger is going to feel underwhelming.
We have made three changes for all our rangers across the board. Firstly we’ve made all the cash shop ammo available in a normal NPC. Access to elemental ammo was one of the first things that made rangers bearable.
Second, we noticed that ammos had different amounts of attack increases built into them but it was quite random, varying mostly from 5% to 15% but a few pieces even had 50%. We removed all of these so that all the ammo pieces were the same and instead we added a 2nd effect to the “Snipe” or “Crossfire” elite ranger buff. We gave it up to 30% damage just like the basic melee buff.
Third, we changed throwing knives. This primarily helps pure trappers but technically it benefits all rangers. Throwing knives’ damage was always low so we changed the top end of them to be the same as bows. Then to differentiate them from bows we changed their low end attack to always be “1” no matter which type or level throwing knife it is. This makes them less reliable earlier on but it turns out that the stabbing skill on throwing knives has bonus critical chance. Critical hits landed on enemies will deal the top-end damage of the weapon. This means that for trappers the big difference in low and high end of the throwing knife isn’t as big of a setback and once they are further into the game and their items they can compete with more than just their traps.

Ether Transport: Teleportation
Even technology in the Novus universe can progress. Now the travel platform provides a teleport directly to Ether base.
Autonomous Monsters
We currently use this for some event monsters. The monsters wander around the map at random. You can hit them, taunt them, or do whatever you want and they will ignore you. We currently use them in our events so that they wander around randomly and are unkillable but they have guard units which contain loot. This way the races can fight over the area to get the loot from the guarding monsters and the main event monster will randomly wander causing an advantage to each race at random.
Automatic Spectating Stream
We created a system that can automatically spectate players that are in certain combat types such as PvP, PvE, and it can also focus on events. It automatically manages camera angles and which players that it spectates. It is very cool for events in particular! Once all the kinks are ironed out, we are considering leaving it streaming 24/7 to help bring attention to what we do here.
