[Calliana and Cartella Wars]

What caused the war between Calliana and Cartella?

CHAPTER 1. ETHER DISCOVERY        

On 36 Novus Era (NE36), the famous explorer of the Bellato, Jack Robell and Stephen Lures, on a northern expedition Continent of Asu. This area has high frequency of blizzards and strong magnetic field, thus not allowing the satellites to perform scanning, deter explorers and cartographer over the years researching this northwest area.

The expedition has been going on for years with various methods of land transportation (adapted to the Arctic environment), until it reaches its worst conditions. These explorers remained optimistic and continued their expedition until 3 months back, all their equipment destroyed by the wild conditions. However, the data they brought with them amazed everyone.

The two explorers have discovered a region floating high in the air, in the lower stratosphere of Novus (10k above ground). Although they were unable to reach the subcontinent, they did manage to take several photos showing dozens of large pumice stones around the main area. What is controversial is the photo showing some of the artifacts created by non-biological civilizations. They also report an energy signal and sensor profile consistent with active machines or robotics. Another mysterious apparition is a mysterious photo-like figure of several women who are tall and always disappear into the fog whenever a camera / human tries to get close to them.

CHAPTER 2. ETHER EXPLORATION

Interested in uncovering the secrets of this region, various independent groups undertook different expeditions to the north. Few were able to reach further afield, the blizzard and violent magnetic flux caused the team to go unprepared, forced to return in vain. The mystery of the landmass persisted, and was soon nicknamed ‘Ether’ by the Bellato exploration team. The flurry of activity after the Jack Robell and Stephen Lures expedition caught the attention of the local Corite tracker and scout team.

Corite’s intelligence sources finally discovered the cause of Bellato’s recent increase in activity and sent their own men to try to unravel the secret. There are various groups who believe that the area is the land of Tirthas, where the Veda was first sent down by Decem. These ideas spread within other local Cora groups and even to the planet Cora. Even though they did not jump into the explorations as Bellato Robell and Lures did, there is still increasing interest in the north and within the group concerned. The Bellato also considered cooperation with Corite to conquer this wild area.

The Accretians seemed to have known about Ether’s existence at this time, but history tells us that they did not take any calculations or actions due to the onslaught of exploration.

CHAPTER 3. ORIGIN OF CARTELLA

Early in NE37, the Cartella Mercantile Union began sponsoring expeditions to Ether territory. Airborne expeditions with small atmospheric aircraft are always unsuccessful, the crew is forced to return by the same conditions. Without certainty about profits there, Cartella was unwilling to send their bigger ship. The expedition was continued on a smaller basis to supply better information about the area.

Over time, the scientific team and tracker Cora managed to find a slightly safer path than through Hurricane Ether (a combination of a blizzard and electromagnetic flux field). Armed with a safer map path, the expedition again funded by Cartella eventually reached the mainland of Ether. In mid-NE37, together with Robell and Lures, the joint team Bellato and Cora arrived on Ether.

The two races immediately built an operational base, which is a special dock for each nation (not completely finished because it had difficulty supplying cargo to Ether). They also found it artifact and strange civilization structure. Temporary exploration of this structure began at the same time as Bellato’s increased interest in mastering Ether, made use of decreased interest in Corite towards Ether (due to lack of evidence of Ether as soil Tirthas).

The construction of transportation facilities and aircraft modification (to break through the storm Ether) were entirely built by Bellato, fully funded by Cartella.

CHAPTER 4. THE WAR BEGINS

The exploration team soon ignores attempts to the energy location and the ‘mysterious woman’ that Robell and Lures mention. For a while, the two explorers continued their research on two other mysteries (but to no avail). They immediately went to another land of more interest to them, leaving little information about sightings of mechanoids and the figures of women living in the Arctic. There are other parties who are interested in this, mainly because of the exploitation of resources for the development of the area as a mining zone and post. Towards the end of NE37, a mysterious female figure and an autonomous robot actually appear and suddenly attack!

Almost all contact with the team on Ether was cut off. Only the main pier and landing sites were still functioning, the rest were completely attacked. Only at the main base, the attacks of the robots and mysterious women can still be handled.

The women were later identified as ‘Calianas’, and plans were quickly made to return to Ether. However, the scale of difficulty against the Calianas was very high compared to conquering the other indigenous Novus tribes.

On NE38, team Cartella fought back the ferocious tribe this is supported by war vehicles spread across several sectors. What they encountered was something completely different. They found soldiers Calianas is led by a figure of great power, was nicknamed Queen (Queen), and several daughters who served as commander -called Princess (Princess). The techniques of these Arctic warriors were very effective, as well as making use of high tech robot troop, thus making Cartella’s troops reeling. Union Cartella then trying to diplomacy with Calianas, but failed. Calianas had already instilled hatred for these infiltrating nations.

CHAPTER 5. MOVEMENT OF THE IMPERIUM ACCRETIA

Because the Cartella Union troops could not handle the Calianas, these two races (Bellato and Cora) began to cooperate by uniting the troops in the war on Ether. The two races agreed to provide mutual assistance against the Calianas, most of the troops were deployed to secure the area around the landing base zone. However, when asked to advance to a more dangerous region, the two parties to this joint force refused with their own reasons.

The Bellato monarchy gives its troops the right to decide whether or not to participate in other operations (as long as it provides an advantage). This shows that the military organizations Union and Cartella Union have independent relations, the individual contract between a union soldier and Cartella is not the authority of the central government. The Holy Cora Alliance also limited their combat forces and focused more on exploration missions escorted by Corite’s own troops. After learning that this area was neither the holy land of Tirthas nor a vital mining area, they refused to provide further assistance.

In the year of NE39, Cartella remained powerless to match the strength of the Calianas even with the combination of the Holy Forces and the Union Monarchy. The Union Monarchs made a large percentage of the profits with their troop’s expensive contract with Cartella, but this big company knew that without a larger force in operation, the dream of controlling the economic resources of Ether would be futile.

The greatest help finally came from the Accretian Empire, which was the last hope of conquering Ether. The Accretian entered into difficult negotiations with Cartella, which required Cartella to install several Accretia units in the Cartella corporate structure, so that Accretia also benefited from Cartella’s shares. Finally, after Cartella agreed to the Accretian negotiating offer, the response and mobilization of the imperial army was swift and extraordinary.

CHAPTER 6. OPERATION: LAWINE

A week after the contract was suppressed, the Accretian Empire did not hesitate to deploy 4 Imperial Legions to the Ether sub-continent. The 3rd Imperial Army led the command and opened the way for the 4 Legions during the 3 day landing process. The Accretia landing operation was considered extreme, as it had to operate manual controls through the storm and the difficult terrain around Ether, 2 3rd troop cruisers crashed during this process. The wreckage of one of these planes can still be seen today.

The 9th, 14th, 18th, and 23rd Accretian troops deployed on Novus, forming the commanding operation of the planet Novus Legio Prima. The Prima Legio came under the command of Thor, then became the Legate of the 14th Legion. As Dux of the Prima Legio Ether, Thor carried out a direct attack on the Calianas region according to the imperial order of ‘secure and win over the continental area of ​​Ether’. Eventually Calianas was pushed back to the interior of Ether, many of the Princess Calianas died in this battle (known as the Battle of White Hall). The Calianas army was divided into two parts, namely the defensive base in the Land of Jack and the other troops in the Land of Lures (named after the Bellato explorer who first discovered this location).

Thor appointed to continue the attack on the best fighter Princess, Audion Caliana, who believes that he is the true leader of the Caliana tribe. Thor commissioned the 9th Legate legion, Advent, to finish off the other Caliana troops. Using his expertise in close maneuvers, The Adventists cornered the Calianas forces trapped in the Land of Lures. Calianas also submitted a bid to determine victory by sending a challenge duel.

The 9th Legion sent their best fight against the Caliana Queen herself. This duel ended in defeat for Calianas because Queen herself was not at her best after the previous battle at the White Hall.

Meanwhile, Thor’s army, consisting of the Prima Legio, pursued Audion Caliana to the Land of Jack. A fierce battle took place between these two great powers, however, in the end Calianas’s defenses were breached and Calianas’ troops were massacred. Audion Calianas and several of his elite bodyguards managed to escape Thor’s attack.

CHAPTER 7. THE CONCLUSION OF WAR

With the successful elimination of Calianas from Ether, the Accretia were granted a large share of the territory by the Cartella contract. Thor was appointed Imperial Administrator in that area, as representatives of the Accretian Empire. Thor maintains the main headquarters of his operations in the former bastion of Audion Caliana and make use of the Ether Platform as an Imperial asset. Imperial domination continued until the very beginning Novus War I, where the whole legion is pulled from the Ether except for the Legion which was specifically allocated in the province of Ether. On NE62, Thor declared himself no longer part of the Accretian Empire and join the squad Clockwork Brigade, which the Kingdom branded as a rebellion. Thor and his men lock yourself in the Cartella Biology Lab and cut off all contact with the outside world.
